One of the things I learned at a global warming conference in Portland over the weekend is that “climate change” is a less threatening phrase. Political strategists, take note.

By far, the most interesting speaker was Dr. Stephen Schneider of Stanford, who helped write one of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change reports. He has a terrific Web site . Check it out.
