Name incorrect

David Peters graduated from the University of Washington with a bachelor’s degree in aeronautical and astronautical engineering. His name was incorrect in Wednesday’s Achievements column because of an error by the university.

Court story unclear

Kootenai County 1st District Court Judge John T. Mitchell granted a motion reducing Kendra Goodrick’s sentence in September 2005 without a hearing or opportunity for prosecutors to object. At a subsequent hearing in January 2006, prosecutors objected to Mitchell placing Goodrick on probation. A story Wednesday was unclear because of a reporter’s error.

Mother’s age wrong

The wrong age was given for a mother charged in her son’s death after taping a pacifier to the 4-month-old’s face because of incorrect information provided by the Associated Press. Bonnie M. Desmond is 19.
