The Spokesman-Review

Name: Harley Tuck

Age: 82

Hometown: I’m from Yakima, but I moved to this area in 1999. I live in Post Falls now.

Occupation: I’m retired. I was an agricultural missionary for 11 years, then worked for the United Nations in agricultural training in Thailand, Afghanistan and Indonesia.

Family: I was divorced from my first wife in 1976, and I was married to an Indonesian woman for 23 years. She died in 1998. I had two sisters and two daughters living in this area, but one daughter has moved to Tennessee.

Hobbies: Reading and playing pinochle and bridge.

What do you like about North Idaho? I’m close to my family, and I like the weather and the people.

What do you like or dislike about the current season? Well, our weather certainly isn’t monotonous. It changes every day.

Favorite music: Folk, western and semi-classic.

Favorite movie: “The Gods Must Be Crazy.” It’s a good parody of our Western civilization.

Favorite spot in North Idaho? Why? My home here in Post Falls, where I live with my daughter, Randi Currey. She teaches at Prairie View Elementary School. And the people who live here are very friendly.
