Prairie dog misidentified

The critter holding the Marmot Lodge application on Thursday’s Today cover is a black-tailed prairie dog. The syndicate that provided the photo incorrectly labeled it as a marmot.

Bing Crosby wrote article

A Los Angeles Times story reprinted in Thursday’s Today section incorrectly stated that Bing Crosby’s brother Harry wrote an article in the 1955 Hollywood Reporter about the star’s 1929 drunk driving arrest. The article was written by Bing Crosby, using his real name, Harry L. Crosby.

Names misspelled

Grifn Renford’s last name was spelled incorrectly, as was the first name of his mother, Amber, in a Cool Kid profile in Thursday’s North Side edition of Your Voice, because of a correspondent’s error.

Driver misidentified

James W. Potts failed to stop at a traffic light at the intersection of Highway 2 and Deer Park-Milan Road on Wednesday, causing a crash that injured him and two teens. A story Thursday misstated which driver failed to stop at the light, because of a reporter’s error.
