My favorite car: 1969 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia

Purchased: 1983

Why I love it: It attracts beautiful women. Also, with its 53 horsepower it was almost capable of merging on the freeway, and I was a proud man the day I got a speeding ticket. I purchased this wonderful car from the original owner, who bought it new in Austria and shipped it to the States. He had never done any maintenance on it and had filled the trunk with boulders to hold the front end down. I put tons of work into this car. My favorite memories are of driving in the winter and having to turn down the heat because it gets too warm inside; an unheard-of experience in a Volkswagen!
