Deadline today for South Little League sign-up

Today is the last day for kids to register for the Spokane South Little League.

Boys and girls between the ages of 5 and 12 on the South Hill who want to play baseball can register at www.spokanelittleleague.org.

This year, the league is also offering the Challenger Division for mentally and physically disabled kids.

The cost is $60 for T-Ball (ages 5-6), $70 for Coach Pitch (ages 6-8), $90 for Minors (ages 8-11) and $90 for majors (ages 9-12). The Challenger Division is free of charge.

Volunteers are needed for the league; opening day is April 14.
