Deputies arrest fugitive in North Side home

From Staff Reports The Spokesman-Review

A gang associate wanted in Kootenai County was caught with three firearms and a large amount of crack cocaine Wednesday night when he was arrested in Spokane, deputies said.

Dartanyan Juel Turner, 26, was booked into Spokane County Jail on a fugitive warrant and could face federal firearms and drug charges, said Spokane County Sheriff’s spokesman Sgt. Dave Reagan.

On Wednesday, Spokane’s Gang Enforcement Team tracked Turner to a home at 6106 N. Mayfair, Reagan said. The team obtained a search warrant and discovered two semi-automatic pistols and a revolver inside. Authorities also found cocaine and quantities of Methadone and Hydrocodone, both controlled substances, inside the home.

The Spokane Gang Enforcement Team includes authorities from the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office, Spokane Police Department, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and the Washington State Department of Corrections, Reagan said.
