Skipworth appointed to sewer board
Liberty Lake Sewer and Water District commissioners appointed Steve Skipworth to their board last week.
In appointing Skipworth, a longtime employee of Vera Water and Power, Commissioners Frank Boyle and Tom Agnew, stayed true to their earlier statements that the appointee should be a resident of incorporated Liberty Lake.
The district serves a large portion of the municipality, as well as the unincorporated area around the lake for which the town is named. The city is just five years old. Skipworth is the first commissioner from the town. He replaces Commissioner Harley Halverson, who retired Jan. 31. Skipworth retired as Vera’s director of operations in 2006.
