Secret Witness is looking for a call back from a tipster and is still offering $1,000 to the person who can help solve a February crime.

A man who called himself “Pinto” called Secret Witness this week to offer information on an armed robbery at Wheatland Bank in the Spokane Valley Mall.

But the detective in the case would like to talk to Pinto again so some information can be clarified.

On Feb. 16 around noon, a man entered the bank and ordered tellers and customers to get on the floor, officials say. He gave an employee a light-blue pillow case and ordered her to fill it with cash.

The robber was carrying a semi-automatic pistol and was between 5 feet 9 inches and 6 feet 2 inches tall. He wore a navy blue hooded sweatshirt, a sky-blue bandanna and black sunglasses with black frames.

The man also wore a dark blue stocking cap, light-blue jeans, white low-cut tennis shoes and black ski-type gloves.

Anyone with information on the robbery should call Secret Witness at (509) 327-5111, and Pinto should call Detective Rob Sherar directly at (509) 477-3191. Callers do not have to give their name to collect the $1,000 reward.
