3 Cougs to nationals

Seniors Tyson Byers (University High), pole vault; Diana Pickler, pentathlon; and Julie Pickler pentathlon, of the Washington State University track and field team will be competing at the 43rd annual Men’s NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championship and the 25th annual Women’s Indoor Track & Field Championships to be held Friday and Saturday, March 9-10, at the Randal Tyson Track Center at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville.

Eastern Washington’s David Paul will compete in the weight throw.

Volleyball

Setter Liz Hardan, from Gonzaga Prep, has signed to play volleyball at Carroll College.

At Gonzaga Prep, Hardan was a three-year starter. She earned first team all-GSL honors as a senior.
