WSU fans on the ball
A handful of lucky Washington State students have turned in mini-basketballs that were hidden on campus Tuesday morning. Each so-called “Bennett Ball” entitles them to purchase two tickets for the NCAA tournament’s first- and second-round games.
“It took me four hours to hide them,” said student body president Zach Wurtz, who arrived on campus before dawn to find some students waiting for him with flashlights.
If all 25 basketballs have not been returned by 5 p.m. today, the remaining tickets will be distributed through an open drawing for students.
