Feature creature: Miss Kitty

Jennifer Larue correspondent

Miss Kitty was sent packing when a baby came home and showed signs of allergies. Miss Kitty was quite mature about it and handled the news well but she is eager to find a new place to call home. She is very talkative and curious about her surroundings, which became obvious when she checked out all four corners of the room and tapped on the glass window with her paw. She is multicolored, has white paws and beautiful blue-gray eyes. It may take her a while to warm up to other cats and children but really it’s just her way of being bossy, nothing that a good ear scratch wouldn’t cure.

Anyone interested in adopting this cat or other animals can visit the SCRAPS shelter at 2521 N. Flora Road, call the shelter at 477-2532 or visit the Web at www.spokanecounty.org/animal. Cats cost $55.68 to adopt, which includes a license, neutering, vaccinations, a microchip implant and a trip to the veterinarian. ($25 off adoption fee for Miss Kitty.)
