North Side Voices

Five people outside at a North Spokane neighborhood were asked the following question: Where in North Spokane have you encountered the worst potholes, and have you had to alter your route to avoid them?

Wendy Dougherty: “I would have to say that the worst ones I’ve encountered are on North Market Street.”

Bob Rector: “The worst one I’ve seen is at the middle exit from Fred Meyer onto 395. I try not to use that exit.”

Natalie Haubert: “The worst potholes, I think, are on Crestline Street next to Farwell Elementary. I have to go the back way when I drop my kid off; I could lose my whole car in one of those.”

Randy Goss: “There are so many; I guess Little Spokane Drive in front of the Haggin Farm. I have to use that road, so I can’t avoid them.”

Janice Goss: “The worst one I see is at the corner of Columbus Street and Little Spokane Drive. It is usually hidden by the large lake that forms there when it rains.”
