Children’s Benefit Dinner and Auction – Volunteers are needed to assist with the Salvation Army’s Women’s Auxiliary’s Children’s Benefit Dinner and Auction, June 19, at the Red Lion Hotel at the Park, 303 W. Aging and Long Term Care of Eastern Washington – Volunteers are needed to work on the Statewide Health Insurance Benefits Advisors Helpline. A three day training is provided by the Office of the Insurance Commissioner. Contact Leslie Noll at 458-2509.

Eastern Washington Center for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing – Energetic individuals with good business sense or experiences are needed to volunteer on the Board of Directors. Contact Char Parsley at 328-9220.

Spokane Valley Community Center and Food Bank – Volunteers are needed to greet and check-in patrons at the Clothing Bank on Tuesdays from 10 a.m. -3 p.m. Some computer skills are helpful but not required. Goodwill Industries of the Inland Northwest – Volunteers are needed for the Mentoring Children of Promise program which helps to empower children and youth of incarcerated parents in eastern Washington. Volunteers/mentors must commit to supporting, guiding, and being a friend to a young person for a period of at least one year. Mentors must be at least 18 years of age and be able to pass a criminal background check, including a fingerprint check. Contact Amanda Guthmueller at 838-4281.

Consumer Credit Counseling Service – Volunteers are needed to assist consumers experiencing financial hardship. This is a part-time position, no more than 20 hours per week are needed.
