Author and doll maker Sheila Wood will sign her new book, “A Prairie Heart,” from 1 to 4 p.m. next Saturday , at the Twice Told Tales Bookstore in the Post Falls Public Library.

The book’s illustrator, Diane Nolan, also will be in attendance.

“A Prairie Heart” is a collection of 19 illustrated stories set on the Great Plains at the turn of the 20th century. The main characters are based on dolls created by Wood to represent the individual virtues for which they are named.

Twice Told Tales is a used-book and gift store operated by the Friends of the Post Falls Public Library. All profits from store sales are used for library improvements.
