Streamlining your life
Lifehacker: 88 Tech Tricks to Turbocharge Your Day, By Gina Trapani (Wiley Publishing, 300 pages, $24.99).
The Lifehacker Web site has become a regular haunt for folks who need ideas on streamlining their online and offline lives. This 2007 release, written by founding editor Gina Trapani, is a good place to browse the main areas of interest. Those are: improving one’s task completion rate, packing data for more mobility, and surviving e-mail.
It’s not all Web stuff. Hack 54 is a simple set of steps to remove office clutter and organize physical paper more efficiently. Big clue: use labels and some method of color-coding key work topics.
Hack 88 is also worth noting: how to boot up your machine after your operating system is corrupted. Wish we had that one six months ago.
