The Spokesman-Review

Sam Skillingstad appears in midseason form two games into the 2007 Greater Spokane League fast pitch softball season.

The Shadle Park junior pitcher struck out 18 and allowed only a two-out single in the sixth inning to University’s Michelle Wells as the Highlanders (2-0) collected a 6-0 win at U-Hi (1-2) on Monday in a game rescheduled from Friday.

Skillingstad, who walked two, pitched a two-hitter in Shadle’s opening 11-1, five-inning win over Central Valley last week.
