Aaron Page’s squeeze bunt in the top of the sixth inning Tuesday broke a 1-all tie and gave Gonzaga Prep (1-2) a 2-1 win over host Mt. Spokane (2-1) in Greater Spokane League action.

Max Manix threw five strong innings, allowing one run on four hits while striking out six.

Mark Purser gave the Wildcats their run with a solo home run in the third.

Elsewhere in the GSL, Mead scored nine runs in the first two innings and cruised to an easy 11-2 win over host Lewis and Clark (1-2) at Hart Field. Marshall Cain went 3 for 4, including a home run, and knocked in five runs for the Panthers (1-0). … Ryan Richardson pitched a complete game, allowing no runs on five hits while striking out nine as North Central (2-1) topped host Central Valley (2-1) 2-0. …Andrew Durant went 3 for 4 with four RBIs as East Valley topped host Rogers (0-3) 9-4.
