Project Joy concert Sunday
The Project Joy Senior Entertainers will celebrate their 35th anniversary with a concert Sunday at 3 p.m. in the Lair Building auditorium of Spokane Community College, 1810 N. Greene St.
The group was founded by Spokane Parks and Recreation for people 50 and older and through the years has performed at hospitals, care centers, retirement apartments, schools and other community settings.
Group members include choral and instrumental musicians, dramatists, dancers, puppeteers, magicians, clowns, comedians and behind-the-scenes helpers, such as seamstresses, directors and choreographers.
The 50-voice Senior Serenaders Chorus and the Spokane Area Children’s Chorus will perform with Project Joy’s 50-piece orchestra.
