Idaho’s state capitol may be 400 miles away, but when the hottest debates are happening in the Legislature this year, North Idaho folks can tune in and watch.

For the first time, all floor sessions in the House and Senate chambers will be televised from start to finish and broadcast over the Internet and on some cable and digital TV broadcasts.

Here’s how you can follow the acction:

On the Web: Bills, votes, committee agendas: www.legislature.idaho.gov.

Audio: Live audio of Joint Finance-Appropriations Committee: idahoptv.org or www.legislature.idaho.gov.

E-mail: Send e-mail to any legislator. From Legislature’s Web site, under “Citizen Legislators,” choose House or Senate and then membership. Click on the name to send an e-mail.

Blog: “Eye on Boise” at www.spokesmanreview.com/boise for up-to-date news, color and tidbits from the state capitol.

Call: Toll-free to leave a message for a legislator: (800) 626-0471. Line open 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Pacific time weekdays.

Fax: To send a fax to a legislator: (208) 334-5397.
