MONDAY

Internet-based hunting — in which hunters can shoot game with the click of a mouse — may be outlawed in Idaho under a bill lawmakers are considering this session.

A federal appeals court indicated it would overturn a permit for Coeur d’Alene Mines Corp.’s proposed Kensington gold mine in Alaska due to concerns over disposal of tailings.

WEDNESDAY

Schweitzer Mountain Resort plans to raise season pass prices by about $100 for the 2007-2008 ski and snowboard season. The proposed “early-bird” price is $599, which jumps to $999 after Halloween. The Sandpoint-based ski area is moving away from discount-pricing.

THURSDAY

Almost 300 Washington residents and one Idahoan were among the thousands of individuals nationwide who received a total of $300 million from companies that sold life insurance policies to European Jews who perished in the Holocaust.
