Zags can look to next year
Anyone still thinking about the Zags? Hindsight is foresight, you know.
Why don’t we draw more power from the bench next year? Fine tune the game to the attributes of more players outside the perimeter of the top five and work the team’s ability to execute plays all around the competition.
And let’s give the subs more time to jell with the team before calling them back to the bench. They shouldn’t be so hard-pressed to prove themselves. They wouldn’t be a Zag if they weren’t already great. Playing easy is playing good. Lighten up, loosen up, and forget the shots missed and fouls committed. Have some fun and the wins will come.
And Pierre Marie Altidor-Cespedes, put the NCAA tournament behind you. All things going well during the regular playing season, whenever the Zags appeared to be sluggish your excellent show of defensive skills, high energy, focus and emotional balance always served to ignite the team into action. Your playing time in the Indiana game was cut too short to make sparks fly, but we’ve got next year.
Go get ‘em, Zags!
