Get out, get going

Bunnies galore

» You can never have too many bunnies. They're cute and fluffy and cuddly (just watch their teeth). An "Eggstravaganza" going on today in Valleyford will feature an Easter petting zoo with lambs, chickens and bunnies from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will also be 4-H demonstrations and information on the 4-H program. The event will take place at the On Sacred Grounds coffee shop at 12212 E. Palouse Highway. The event is outside, so dress accordingly.

Spring craft sale

» Spring is definitely in the air. While it's too early to do much in the garden, you can keep yourself busy by attending the Spokane Valley Senior Center's Spring Craft Sale today from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will also be baked goods and raffle items. The sale will be at CenterPlace, 2426 N. Discovery Court.

Animal drive

» How much does it cost to feed the doggy in the window? A lot. While pets wait for adoption at local shelters, they have to be fed and kept healthy. The John L. Scott South East Office is heading up the Wag'N Tails Animal Drive to benefit SCRAPS, SpokAnimal and the Humane Society through April 8. People are asked to make monetary donations or donate items from a wish list available at the drop off locations.

» Examples of needed items include pet shampoo, leashes, cat toys and dry pet food. In the Valley the drop-off locations are Aslin Finch Feed and Pet, 14705 E. Sprague; Pet Vet, 510 S.
