Zags gain honors

Six Gonzaga University athletes were named to All-Western Intercollegiate Rowing Association first teams Sunday after the WIRA Championships at Lake Natoma in Sacramento, Calif.

Matthew Wernette, David Hinshaw and Warren North earned men’s honors as they guided the Bulldogs to a second-place finish in the varsity 8+ race.

Jessica Kocarnik, Nicole Aadland-Lewis and Joan Aubry earned recognition for the women.
