Achievements

Eight students have been named winners of Presidential scholarships at Eastern Washington University for the 2007-2008 academic year.

Kristen Zangar of Spokane was awarded $2,000. The daughter of Mike and Jodie Zangar, she will graduate from University High School in June.

Nicole Jacobson of Spokane also received a $2,000 award. She will graduate from East Valley High School in June and is the daughter of Jim and Sandy Jacobson.

Christina Masterson of Spokane was awarded $2,000. The daughter of George and Jacquie Masterson, she will graduate from Central Valley High School in June.

Le’Andra Smith of Spokane received a $2,000 award. The daughter of Paul and Jean Smith, she will graduate from University High School in June.

Laura Schlect of Spokane was awarded $2,000. The daughter of Ed and Lori Schlect, she graduated in 2006 from Valley Christian High School.

Amanda McCune of Spokane Valley received a $2,000 award. The daughter of Daniel and Debbie McCune, she will graduate from East Valley High School in June.

Ruth Tiffany received a $2,000 award. She will graduate from Valley Christian High School in June and is the daughter of Paul and Nora Tiffany of Spokane Valley.

Brittney Barnes of Spokane received a $1,000 award. She is a senior at University High School and is the daughter of Steve and Peggy Barnes.
