Feature creature: Myra

Jennifer Larue correspondent

Myra is inquisitive and eager to bond. She would do well in the free training classes that SCRAPS offers. She chases what is tossed, locates it but returns without it. Perhaps she thinks her job is just to find it.

Her ears are big and floppy and trail behind her when she runs. She jumps and plays and probably would enjoy playing with a Frisbee or playing a good game of hide-and-seek.

When she investigates her surroundings, she stops often to lift and bend a front leg in a graceful pose. Myra needs a family willing to give her attention. She doesn’t mind a leash.

Anyone interested in adopting this or other animals can visit the SCRAPS shelter at 2521 N. Flora Road, call the shelter at 477-2532 or visit the Web at www.spokanecounty.org/animal.

Dogs cost $75.02 to adopt, which includes a license, neutering, vaccinations, a microchip implant and a trip to a veterinarian.
