Welliver will be featured at Northern Quest

Spokane’s Chauncy Welliver is scheduled for a featured bout in the May 30 professional boxing card at Northern Quest Casino.

Welliver, 31-3-4 with 11 knockouts, faces Denver’s Corey Williams (6-6-2) in an eight-round feature bout for the Washington State heavyweight title.

Welliver earned a split decision victory over Chad Van Sickle in March and is undefeated in his last 18 fights.

In the main event, Alonzo “Big Zo” Butler, 38-1-0 with 32 KOs, returns to Airway Heights for a 10-round bout with Ralph West, 17-11-1 with 14 KOs.

Butler, coming off a unanimous, 10-round decision over James Walton in February at the Wynn Resort on Las Vegas, will make his third appearance at Northern Quest.
