Worker suspended

From Staff Reports The Spokesman-Review

A Moses Lake nursing assistant was suspended this week after authorities suspect he sexually abused a severely physically disabled patient who also has a speech impairment.

Leslie S. Collins had his license suspended after authorities said they believe he inappropriately touched a disabled patient at Sunbridge Care and Rehabilitation in Moses Lake and forced the patient to perform oral sex on him, according to a press release from the state Department of Health.

Collins has 20 days to respond to the charges and cannot be employed as a nursing assistant until the charges are resolved.
