Medicine Hat ties it

MEDICINE HAT, Alberta – Darren Helms scored a power-play goal at 12:13 of the third period Sunday to give the Medicine Hat Tigers to a 4-3 victory over the Vancouver Giants in Game 6 of the Western Hockey League championship series.

The Tigers evened the series 3-3 with the win.

A deciding Game 7, the first in a WHL final since 1994, is set for today in Medicine Hat.
