Big road projects in Valley
The Interstate 90 project in downtown Spokane isn’t the only place where roads will be torn up this summer.
Projects at Pines, Sullivan and East Appleway will challenge drivers in Spokane Valley.
For three weeks in July, the I-90 overpass at Sullivan Road will be closed with a detour routing drivers to the interchange at Evergreen Road.
At Pines and I-90, ramps on the north side of the interchange will be reconfigured to feed only into Indiana Avenue and Montgomery Drive. Also, a stoplight will be installed at Mansfield Avenue, which will be widened and end at a roundabout at Wilbur Road and Montgomery.
Appleway Avenue in Greenacres will be widened between Tschirley and Hodges roads.
An open house on the projects will be 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday at CenterPlace community center, 2426 N. Discovery Place. For more information, call 688-0232.
