Q: Five people at various locations were asked the following: Has the high cost of fuel impeded any vacation plans you may have for the summer?

Dennis Dougherty: “We don’t have any big plans, but they do include a lot of driving. We aren’t stopping our plans, but we have had to make some adjustments regarding lodging and things.”

Renee Hastings: “Oh yes. We are pretty much just sticking around this summer.”

Kelly Vincent: “The cost of gas is absolutely ridiculous. I can hardly get to work and back because of it. I can’t go anywhere this summer.”

Della Burnside: “I won’t be doing any traveling. I am a senior citizen and can’t afford much. I’m lucky that my kids are close.”

Darlene Casebolt: “The cost of gas does affect how much we can drive. We like to travel to see our grandkids, but those trips will be less frequent this summer.”
