REALTORS® honor their own at banquet
The 2007 Award Luncheon honoring members of the Spokane Association of REALTORS® for exceptional service to the Association, was held at the Red Lion, “Inn at the Park,” on May 10.
“The award for Spokane REALTOR® of the Year was given to Vic Plese of Plese Realty, the 2006 President of the Spokane Association of REALTORS®. Making the presentation was his predecessor Dave Crosby. Plese was recognized for his ongoing service to both the local association as well as his involvement in the Washington Association of REALTORS ®. He is also a volunteer for Junior Achievement of Spokane.
“Ken Garceau, John L. Scott, received the REALTOR® Achievement honor, presented by Frank Burger, Tomlinson Black North. Ken has been instrumental in the Affordable Housing Task Force which works with REALTORS®, builders, developers and community leaders to create solutions for affordable housing in Spokane.
“The REALTOR® Community Service Award was given to Glen Carey, Woodard Properties, by Steve Flinn, Tomlinson Black North. Carey has served on numerous committees for the Spokane Association of REALTORS® as well as chairing the Third Grade Poster Contest in addition to his involvement with numerous other community organizations.
“Affiliate of the Year Award went to Shellie Klinkenberg, Stewart Title. Making the presentation was James Young, Tomlinson Black North, 2007 President of the Association. Klinkenberg is a new mother and still finds the time to donate her time and talents to the Holiday Charity Auction and the Special Events Committee.
Citizen of the Year was Jim Carollo, Tomlinson Black Affiliate Services. Carollo was recognized for his years of outstanding service to the real estate community and as a Real Estate Commissioner for the state of Washington.
