CYT plans ‘Aladdin’ at Bing

The Christian Youth Theater will present “Disney’s Aladdin Jr.” Friday through Sunday and June 1 and 2 at the Bing Crosby Theater, 901 W. Sprague.

Local kids will perform at 7 p.m. Friday, at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday and at 3 p.m. Sunday. On June 1, the performance will be at 7 p.m. and June 2 the curtain will rise at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Tickets are $7 for kids 12 and younger and $8 for adults.

Special services

Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 1703 N. Washington St., will offer special services this weekend.

Saturday at 9:30 a.m., the church will hold a Saturday of the Souls Divine Liturgy and memorial service at the church.

The church will observe Pentecost services Sunday with an Orthros service at 9 a.m., Divine Liturgy at 10 a.m., and a Kneeling Vespers service at 5 p.m.

A parish feast day dinner will follow the last service and will include area sister parishes and guest speaker Rev. Bill Caldaroni.

Preschool art programs

The Episcopal Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, 127 E. 12th Ave., will host its second eight-week session of Tot Studio every Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. for kids ages 2 to 3, and 11 a.m. to noon for 4 and 5-year-olds. The session begins June 7. Parents are invited to participate in the art sessions and there will be an espresso cart at the church which funds the youth mission team of the Cathedral.

The cost is $58 for the whole session or $10 for drop-ins on a call-ahead basis.
