Feature creature: Annie

Jennifer Larue Correspondent

Her owner of five weeks recently surrendered Annie. The reason given was “not working out” and “aggressive with other dogs,” but what we noticed is that she is very high energy. The box “used to other pets” was checked.

Her breed is a working dog and she needs to be worked, walked and played with. She is a wagger and a shaker, eager to do your bidding. She is very attentive and would do well in training classes. She loves hugs and sitting in laps. Annie needs discipline, exercise, and love as we all do, and her floppy ears could use a good scratching.

Anyone interested in adopting this dog or other animals can visit the SCRAPS shelter, 2521 N. Flora Road; call the shelter at 477-2532 or visit the Web site at www.spokanecounty.org/animal. Dogs cost $75.02 to adopt, which includes a license, neutering, vaccinations, a microchip implant and a trip to the veterinarian.
