Volunteers needed for ArtFest

The 22nd annual ArtFest will be June 1-3 at Coeur d’Alene Park in Browne’s Addition. The festival, presented by the Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture and the Spokane Art School, is looking for volunteers to help June 1 from 11:45 a.m. to 3 p.m. or 1:45 to 6 p.m., June 2 from 9:45 a.m. to 2 p.m. or 1:45 to 6 p.m., or June 3 from 9:45 a.m. to 2 p.m. or 1:45 to 5 p.m.

Groundbreaking for housing planned

The East Central Community Organization and the city of Spokane will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for the ECCO’s HUD-subsidized senior housing project May 31 at 10 a.m. in the 2200 block of East Fifth Avenue.

The housing project will have 25 units and be managed by Kiemle & Hagood. KOP Construction will begin the building phase of the project..
