The following cemeteries plan services this weekend in honor of the Memorial Day holiday.
Washington
“ Holy Cross Cemetery, 7200 N. Wall – 10 a.m. Mass on Monday.
“ St. Joseph Cemetery, 17825 E. Trent – 10 a.m. Mass on Monday.
“ Greenwood-Riverside Memorial Parks, 211 N. Government Way – Community concert on the lawn, featuring Spokane Brass Works, 6 p.m. Sunday.
“ Spokane Memorial Gardens, 5909 S. Cheney-Spokane Road – Veterans service, 10 a.m. Monday.
“ Fairmont Memorial Park, 5200 W. Wellesley – 2,186 American flags will be flown at a service featuring Mayor Dennis Hession as speaker; 11:30 a.m. Monday at the Iwo Jima memorial. Participants should bring their own lawn chairs.
“ Pines Cemetery, 1402 S. Pines – Memorial Day service; noon Monday.
“ Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Colville Road and Sixth Street, Deer Park – 11 a.m. Monday.
“ Woodland Cemetery, Monroe Road, west of Highway 395, near Deer Park – noon Monday.
“ Evergreen Cemetery, Market Street, south of East Hawthorne Road in Mead – 10:30 a.m. Monday.
“ Fort George Wright Cemetery on Government Way, north of Fort George Wright Drive – 9:30 a.m. Monday.
Idaho
“ Coeur d’Alene Veterans Park – Monday: 9 a.m. ceremony at Third Street Parking Lot downtown; 9:15 a.m. wreath-setting in Lake Coeur d’Alene in honor of veterans lost at sea. Hosted by Veterans of Foreign Wars 889.
“ St. Thomas Catholic Cemetery, East Sherman Avenue and 22nd Street, Coeur d’Alene – 10 a.m. Monday.
“ Forest Cemetery, 1001 Government Way, Coeur d’Alene – 11 a.m. Monday.
“ Coeur d’Alene Memorial Gardens, 7315 N. Government Way, Coeur d’Alene – 2 p.m. Monday.
“ Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, 2834 North Spokane St., Post Falls – Guest speaker will be military veteran recently returned from Iraq. 11 a.m. Monday.
“ Pinegrove Cemetery, Rathdrum – 11 a.m. Monday.
“ Bayview Community Center – 10:30 a.m. Monday. Followed by flag ceremony at Athol Cemetery at 1:30 p.m.
