Kevin Love scored 16 of his 19 points in the second half, just missing a double-double, and No. 2 UCLA rolled past Division II Cal State-San Bernardino 76-41 on Tuesday night in Los Angeles in the second round of the CBE Classic.

As winners of the Los Angeles regional, the Bruins (3-0) advanced to play Maryland (2-0) in the semifinals on Monday in Kansas City, Mo.

Josh Shipp added 16 points, including four of UCLA’s nine 3-pointers. Russell Westbrook had 14 points in his third start for point guard Darren Collison, who has a sprained left knee.

Marlon Pierce led the Coyotes with 10 points, their only player in double figures. They got in the 16-team tournament only because another team had dropped out.

Cal State’s two games in the CBE Classic were exhibitions because Division II schools cannot consider nonexempt games played before Thursday as regular-season games.

(12) Michigan State 86, Chicago State 53: At East Lansing, Mich., Raymar Morgan had a career-high 25 points and 15 rebounds to help the Spartans (1-0) beat the Cougars (0-2) in a first-round game of the CBE Classic.

Morgan was 9 of 16 from the field and 6 of 9 at the line. More important, he had six offensive rebounds, more than any Cougar had at both ends.

David Holston scored 18 points and had four 3-pointers for the Cougars, who led 18-17 before the Spartans took control with a 28-8 surge.

(15) Texas A&M 67, Oral Roberts 53: At College Station, Texas, Josh Carter scored 15 points and Chinemelu Elonu keyed a second-half spurt to help the Aggies (2-0) defeat the Golden Eagles (1-1).

Oral Roberts was led by Adam Liberty with 13 points.

(17) Arizona 76, Northern Arizona 69: At Tucson, Ariz., Chase Budinger scored 25 points to help the Wildcats (1-0) hold off the Lumberjacks (1-1), opening the season without Hall of Fame coach Lute Olson on the bench.

Olson, who has been on a personal leave of absence since Nov. 4, was replaced by assistant Kevin O’Neill. Olson had missed only seven previous games during his 25 years as Wildcats coach. Six came after the death of his wife Bobbi during the 2000-01 season and one was against La Salle because of a back injury in 1994. Arizona is 5-3 without him.

Nate Geiser and Kyle Landy each scored 17 points for NAU.

Women

(3) Maryland 91, Delaware 43: At College Park, Md., Kristi Toliver had 19 points and 10 assists and Marissa Coleman had 16 points and five assists to help the Terrapins (3-0) win their third game in five days, beating the Fightin’ Blue Hens in the quarterfinals of the Women’s National Invitation Tournament.

The Terrapins will host No.23 Notre Dame in a semifinal on Thursday.

(7) North Carolina 98, Elon 53: At Chapel Hill, N.C., Rashanda McCants scored 16 points to lead the Tar Heels (3-0) to an easy win over the Phoenix (1-3).

(8) Georgia 105, Georgia Southern 66: At Athens, Ga., Tasha Humphrey scored 18 points to help the Lady Bulldogs (3-0) rout the Lady Eagles (1-2).
