Preserve Thanksgiving
Hey, Seattle, pass the peace pipe, and by the way, what the heck are you smoking? In case you haven’t heard, Seattle School District is now calling Thanksgiving a myth. This should be a time of mourning. Seattle schools are now asking teachers to be “more sensitive” on Thanksgiving.
Give me a break. What will they think of next? Has political correctness gone awry? Is it coming to Eastern Washington? Where does it stop? First Christmas and now Thanksgiving. What’s next, Easter and oh my gosh, Mother’s Day? Help.
Instead of all this whining, shouldn’t we be thinking about how great life is for everybody, including Native Americans, and by the way, my wife has Native American blood proudly flowing through her veins.
I love you, Seattle. I lived there for 10 years and my children were born there (thanks given that they are not in your schools today), but come on, Seattle, get a life! Thanksgiving will soon be here, and I am proud to say that my family and friends will be sitting down and giving thanks for this bounty we all enjoy.
