Rosauers, KREM 2 and Tom’s Turkey Drive – Volunteers are needed at Rosauers stores to collect turkey donations for area families in need Friday-Saturday. Volunteers 13 years of age and younger must be accompanied by an adult. Register at www.2harvest.org and click on the Volunteer Now icon.

Volunteer Chore Services – Volunteers are needed to help low-income, elderly residents with light housework, yardwork, and transportation to doctor’s appointments. For more information call Judy at (509) 328-8400. A program of Catholic Charities.

Page Ahead Children’s Literacy Program – Volunteers are needed to read stories to children in preschools and kindergartens. Volunteers must agree to a background check. Visit http://pageahead.org for more information.

Spokane AARP Tax-Aide Program – Volunteers are needed to provide assistance and tax preparation services to low- and middle-income tax payers. Interested participants will be trained in the fall in order to volunteer during traditional tax season, January to April. Volunteers will receive free comprehensive tax training and will be reimbursed on a limited basis for qualified program-related expenses.
