Keep eye on teacher
“Teacher remains on payroll” read the headline in the Nov. 13 newspaper. Incredulous! Two hundred words just isn’t enough.
Come on, parents. This is your call to action. The reality is you are your child’s only hope. Is anyone concerned about what Perkins is doing with all his spare time and $69,000-plus of taxpayer money?
Worst-case scenario, Perkins is allowed to keep his teaching certificate and remain employable. Should this happen, parents at Rogers High School know who he is, what he has allegedly done thus far and what statistics show this type of behavior is likely to lead to.
Refuse to allow your student to attend any class Perkins is teaching. Consider changing schools if Perkins remains employed there.
Should our broken system work this time and Perkins is stripped of his teaching certificate for life, remain vigilant and relentless. Thank you Spokesman-Review for your coverage of this matter. The Roman Catholic Church certainly doesn’t stand alone regarding this matter. But then, we already knew that, didn’t we?
