An Oct. 25 story about the city of Cheney’s efforts to expand its wastewater treatment plant incorrectly stated the Department of Ecology held back a $4 million grant for the work, saying the plant’s situation wasn’t as urgent as problems in other communities. The agency recommended the $4 million grant for Cheney to the Washington Legislature, which reallocated the money to communities with a greater need.
