Feature creature: Keywee

Keywee was found walking on North Starr Road on Nov. 5. Perhaps she was following the North Star, looking for a warm barn. She is so very sweet and gentle. Her eyes are sad and searching. She is quiet in her kennel at the SCRAPS facility and, when one approaches and pokes a finger through the cage, she will lick you. “Will you take me home?” she asks, “No? Well, that’s OK, my luck will change. So I’m a little chubby and pigeon-toed, but I’m a good girl.” She knows basic commands, is polite to other dogs and would make a great addition to any family because her heart is very big. She is looking forward to giving thanks.
Anyone interested in adopting this dog or other animals can visit the SCRAPS shelter, 2521 N. Flora Road, call the shelter at 477-2532 or visit the Web site at www.spokanecounty.org/animal.
