Associated Press The Spokesman-Review

Stephen McGee threw for a career-high 362 yards with three touchdowns and scored on a hard-driving run to lead Texas A&M to a 38-30 upset win over No. 13 Texas at College Station.

Kick-holder T.J. Sanders got his only career TD when he capped a 95-yard drive for the Aggies (7-5, 4-4 Big 12) with a 5-yard run on a fake field goal to help hold off Texas (9-3, 5-3).

Dennis Franchione resigned as Texas A&M’s coach, ending a rocky five-year tenure, less than an hour after the Aggies secured the victory.

Texas still has an outside shot of making it to the Big 12 championship game if 10th-ranked Oklahoma loses to Oklahoma State today.

Colorado 65, Nebraska 51: At Boulder, Colo., Cody Hawkins threw for 241 yards and Hugh Charles ran for 169 yards and three scores to lift the Buffaloes (6-6, 4-4 Big 12) to a shootout victory over the Cornhuskers (5-7, 2-6).

The Huskers will go home with only their second losing record since 1962 – both of which have come during coach Bill Callahan’s four seasons in Lincoln.

Mississippi St. 17, Mississippi 14: At Starkville, Miss., Adam Carlson hit a 48-yard field goal with 18 seconds left and the Bulldogs (7-5, 4-4 SEC) likely clinched their first bowl appearance since 2000 with a win over the Rebels (3-9, 0-8).

The loss kept the Rebels winless in conference play for the first time since 1982.

Colorado St. 36, Wyoming 28: At Fort Collins, Colo., Michael Myers came off the bench to score the go-ahead touchdown on an 18-yard carry as the Rams (3-9, 2-6 MWC) beat the Cowboys (5-7, 2-6).

Colorado State scored 34 consecutive points in the second half to take control of the game.

C. Michigan 35, Akron 32: At Akron, Ohio, quarterback Dan LeFevour’s 1-yard touchdown run with 1:31 remaining and a 2-point conversion capped a 15-point fourth-quarter to give the Chippewas (6-5, 5-1) a win over the Zips (4-7, 3-4) and a spot in the MAC championship game.

The Chippewas face Miami (Ohio) in the title game Dec. 1.

Bowling Green 37, Toledo 10: At Bowling Green, Ohio, Tyler Sheehan threw for three touchdowns and running back Anthony Turner threw for one and ran for another to lead the Falcons (8-4, 6-2 MAC) past the Rockets (5-7, 3-5).
