Spokane Valley Partners thanks all

The Spokesman-Review

On behalf of the food bank at Spokane Valley Partners, I would like to thank all the individuals, churches, schools, businesses and organizations that contributed their time, turkeys, other food items and money donations to provide more than 800 area families with Thanksgiving dinners.

In addition, Central Valley School District middle school students, parents and staff brought in close to 12,000 pounds of food, more than $1,100 in donations and 110 turkeys in their annual Fill the Bus food drive at area Yoke’s, Albertsons, and Safeway grocery stores on Nov. 17.

It is unfortunate that so many in our community find themselves in need at this time of year. Those who come to us include senior citizens, the disabled and many who work full time but cannot make ends meet due to the cost of rent, heating and providing for their families. We are so very thankful to be a part of such a giving and caring community.
