Response is funnier
After reading the second protest to Wiley Miller’s “Non-Sequitur” Ku Klux Klan cartoon (“Cartoon over the line,” Nov. 28), I have to address the irony. The outrage seems funnier than the cartoon!
Particularly vicious and well-below-the-belt cartoons are regularly posted in your op-ed section, along with frequent reverse-discriminatory rants submitted by Leonard Pitts, never mind the mindless diatribes by our own “Liberal Of Love” (LOL) Kelly Brown.
Precarious stretches of free speech fly under the S-R editorial radar screen with surprising regularity, and as long as they stretch to the left, not much is said in response.
But as soon as some class clown steps in some sacred cow dung, they come riding into town shooting the place up like a band of lefty super heroes. Outrage! Indignation! Political Incorrectness! Oh, the Humanity!
If anything, Miller was calling the KKK a bunch of racist chickens. Get a life!
