Council candidate Towey kickoff rally Friday

Tom Towey, write-in candidate for Spokane Valley City Council, will hold a campaign kickoff rally Friday at 6 p.m. in a parking lot southeast of University and Sprague. Campaign signs and candidate information will be available. Hot dogs will be available from Frank’s Franks.

Towey, who filed for office two weeks ago, is challenging incumbent Steve Taylor for Position Two. Council Position Three candidate Rose Dempsey also will be on hand. All council races are nonpartisan.
