Chloe Rowand had 16 kills, three aces and four blocks to guide Lewis and Clark past host East Valley 25-21, 19-25, 25-18, 25-23 in a Greater Spokane League match Tuesday at East Valley.
Oceana Bush added 16 kills and 16 digs for the Tigers (8-1), who host first-place Mead on Tuesday.
Allie Riggin had 15 kills and Kelsey Kurtz dished out 32 assists to lead the Knights (5-3).
Elsewhere in the GSL, Lindsay Niemeier dished out 40 assists and Kaylee Rector added 24 digs to guide Shadle Park (7-1) to a 25-23, 25-22, 15-25, 25-16 win over host Central Valley. Cross country
The West Valley boys and girls defeated Medical Lake and Clarkston in a Great Northern League meet at Plantes Ferry Park. WV’s Michael White was the individual champion for the boys, finishing the 3.05-mile course in 17 minutes, 40 seconds. WV’s Krystal Hughes was the girls champion, crossing in 20:30. … Elsewhere, the Deer Park girls took first place, while the Colville boys won in a meet in Colville. Colville’s Jake Hastings took first for the boys in 16:38 while Deer Park’s Chantel Duenich took the top spot for the girls, finishing in 20:17. … Kyle Miller finished in 20:48 to lead the Cheney girls to a win over Pullman at Salnave Park. For the boys, the Blackhawks’ Eric Zachman won in 16:53 to lead Cheney to the win.
