Valley council candidates set to debate tonight

Spokane Valley voters are invited tonight to hear City Council candidates David Crosby and Rose Dempsey discuss the issues that face the city.

The event is free and begins at 6 p.m. in the CenterPlace community center in Mirabeau Park, 2426 N. Discovery Place.

The debate will be moderated by Pacific Northwest Inlander news editor Doug Nadvornick, Spokane Valley News Herald news editor Craig Howard and Spokesman-Review editorial page editor Doug Floyd.

In the November election, Crosby and Dempsey will vie for the Position 3 seat being vacated by Councilman Mike DeVleming.

Ballots will be mailed to voters countywide late next week.
