By the Numbers: September home sales reach 521

September residential sales figures for Spokane County show a total of 521 sales. In September of ‘06 there were 718 closed sales reported. These numbers reflect residential closed sales, site-built and condos, on less that 1 acre in the county.

The average sales price for September was $212,598. The year-to-date closed sales were down 6.9 percent when compared to the first three quarters of 2006. The closed sales through September ‘07 total 5,392 compared to 5,794 over the same period in ‘06.

Year-to-date average sales price stands at $212,107, and median price is at $186,000 — up 9.4 percent and 7 percent respectively.

Inventory growth has slowed somewhat. As of this report there were 3,273 active listings, up 32 from last month and up 662 listing from last year. Listings are up 22.9 percent when compared to last year at this time.

New home sales reported to the Spokane Association of REALTORS® through the first three quarters of ‘07 are down 11.2 percent compared to last year over the same period.
