Modding (based on modification) is the modern equivalent for today’s kids of what our dads did with hot rods. It’s the pleasure of customizing and building a high-performance PC, particularly for gaming. Modding mostly skews toward the PC world which allows for wider hardware configuration. Some in the Mac world do it, but on a smaller scale.
